Community Dialogue and Engagement

AMIS BK facilitates Community Dialogue and Engagement initiatives to strengthen trust, foster mutual understanding, and promote inclusive participation in community development. Through meetings, focus group discussions, intercultural and intergenerational dialogues, and participatory workshops, AMIS BK creates safe and respectful spaces where individuals from diverse backgrounds can share experiences, voice concerns, and collaborate on solutions to common challenges. These engagements encourage active citizenship, reduce social tensions, and build stronger, more connected communities grounded in shared values and collective responsibility.

Youth and Sports Programs

AMIS BK promotes youth and sports programs as powerful tools for social development, inclusion, and peacebuilding. Through structured activities such as sports tournaments, leadership camps, life skills training, and peer mentorship, we engage young people in positive and constructive experiences that foster teamwork, discipline, resilience, and mutual respect. These programs provide safe spaces for youth from diverse backgrounds to connect, express themselves, and develop their full potential. By combining physical activity with education, civic engagement, and community service, we empower youth to become agents of change and contributors to a more cohesive and peaceful society.

Livelihood and Economic Empowerment

As part of its mission to promote sustainable development and social inclusion, AMIS BK implements Livelihood and Economic Empowerment programs that aim to reduce poverty, build resilience, and foster self-reliance among immigrant communities. These initiatives focus on providing skills training, vocational education, financial literacy, and help to access microfinance and small business support. By equipping individuals, especially women, youth, persons with disabilities, and immigrants, with the tools and opportunities needed to generate income and build sustainable livelihoods, AMIS BK helps create pathways to economic independence, dignity, and long-term community development. Education and awareness on gender-based violence (GBV)

AMIS BK effectively campaigns for education and awareness on gender-based violence (GBV). We must engage communities through inclusive, culturally sensitive approaches that inform, empower, and transform. The campaign focuses on educating individuals, especially women and immigrants, about the different forms of GBV, the rights of survivors, and the importance of speaking out. This includes organising community dialogues, workshops, media outreach, and creative expression activities that challenge harmful gender norms and promote respect, equality, and nonviolence. By building partnerships with other organisations and survivors, we foster a more informed, vigilant, and compassionate society that stands united against GBV.

Mathmatics and Science Classes

We are pleased to offer extra classes in mathematics and science for learners in grades 10 to 12. These sessions are designed to provide additional academic support, reinforce key concepts, and help students improve their understanding and performance in these critical subjects. All learners are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen their academic foundation and excel in their studies. Read more
