Vision
To create opportunities for integration and coexistence with the local population, teach our children about our cultures, and assist members in need.
Belonging begins when communities come together.
Amis BK Support Group, also known as Amis BK, creates opportunities for integration, cultural connection and practical support for people building lives far from home.

Amis BK was founded in 2008 by a few members of Bukavu’s community from eastern DR Congo. Far from home, they were contacted at the car guard site to identify the unknown body of a refugee at the mortuary, who was later buried.
Amis BK was formally registered in 2010 under registration number 085-501 NPO. The organisation is committed to promoting inclusion and community development through youth and women’s empowerment programmes, cultural activities, advocacy initiatives and educational support.
Since 2008, Amis BK has reached 37,592 beneficiaries.
